History

The forerunner of today’s SIRO-BIELSKO was DREWEX company, which was established in 1983 in Wapienica, a district of Bielsko-Biała, city located in the south of Poland in the mountains. The location was not random, but as a result of the high  number of smaller woodworking plants operating, in the region. The new company employed the best specialists and embarked upon, a rapid expansion in the, furniture accessories market. In the era, of the state-controlled economy DREWEX was one of the first, community companies in Poland, producing, simple, classic wooden handles supplying furniture factories all over the country.

In 1999 DREWEX was bought by an Austrian company SIRO Beschläge – und Metallwarenfabrik GmbH based in Ternberg. In 2010 Polish family joined the company providing continuous and integrity in the managing areas.

Today SIRO-Bielsko is a modern factory focused not only on the business but also on participating in the projects for local community and young sportsmen chasing their dreams.

SIRO-Bielsko holds FSC® (Forest Stewardship Council) certificate since 2001 , which confirms that the wood used in the factory  comes from the well-managed forests.
